2019 Workshops on “ISO 20400 – Sustainable Procurement – Basic and Advanced Course” with Action Sustainability
In March and April 2019, two consecutive workshops on the implementation of socially responsible public procurement were held. How to implement this strategic approach to public procurement in an institution, what should be considered, set up and decided is very well explained in Guidance to ISO 20400 on sustainable purchasing. This ISO Guidance was the basis for the content of two workshops we prepared together with experienced experts from a British company named Action Sustainability. The workshop held in March, which was an introduction to sustainable procurement, was followed by a workshop in April, which was more detailed and its content adapted to the needs of the participants.
The trainers were Action Sustainability experts
- Basic course was led by: Helen Carter and Ross Primmer
- Advanced course was led by: Shaun McCarthy OBE, CEO (Shaun McCarthy was directly involved in the drafting of The ISO 20400 Guidance and has many years of experience in providing consulting services to the public sector and to private supplier companies).
