2019 Conference “Opportunities for Responsible Public Procurement in the Construction Sector”

The main topic of an international conference held in the premises of the CR Ministry of Transport on 4 April 2019 was to present opportunities for responsible public procurement (RPP) in the construction sector. Based on extensive experience from abroad, the participants were shown how RPP aspects could be used in the construction sector and what added value they could bring to contracting authorities and suppliers, or generally to this part of the market. Responsible procurement-related topics include fair working conditions, fair supplier relationships including timely payments, support for attaining qualifications, winning internships or acquiring practice or, as the case may be, promoting employment of socially disadvantaged people in the labour market.
